The Chaos Continues

Plaxico Burress was sentenced to 2 years in prison today. This is another major story in what has been a wild wild week in the NFL. This very well could be the end for Plax. He will be 34 when he gets outs. That is old for NFL standards. Vick is only 29, so he might have time to recover for his lost skills. However, two years out of the game surely will erode some of his skill. At, Plax's age it will be even worse. Plax surely regrets his decision not to accept the plea bargain, as he could have only spent 3 months in jail. He would have been out much faster and could have played again in the NFL. It is amazing how fast people can rise and fall. In February of 2008, Plax was on top of the world. He caught the game winning touchdown pass with only 30 seconds to go. Less than a year later, he shot himself in the leg with a unregistered gun in a nightclub. Now, he is going to jail for two years and has hit the depths of despair.
